Fraud Prevention

Manage chargebacks, configure Radar rules, and protect your business.

NextGen Radar Rules

Radar is our machine-learning fraud protection engine. It scores every transaction out of 100 based on thousands of signals (IP address, location, card history).

By default, any charge scoring 85 or higher is automatically blocked. You can write custom rules in your dashboard (e.g., Block if CVC fails AND risk_score > 60) under Radar > Rules.

Handling Chargebacks

A chargeback occurs when a cardholder disputes a payment with their bank. When this happens, the disputed amount plus a $15 dispute fee is temporarily deducted from your balance.

You have 7-21 days (depending on the bank) to submit evidence proving the charge was legitimate. Navigate to Payments > Disputes to upload shipping receipts, IP logs, or customer correspondence.

3D Secure (SCA compliance)

3D Secure requires customers to complete an additional verification step with the card issuer when paying (like an SMS code). This shifts liability for fraudulent disputes from you to the bank.

If you operate in Europe, our APIs automatically trigger 3D Secure to comply with Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) mandates.
